Crest

BULADELAH_St-Josephs.png

The word Bulahdelah means “meeting of the waters” in the Worimi language. The crest celebrates the local Aboriginal Worimi people and the rich history of the school community. The circular shape is indicative of a traditional Aboriginal meeting place while the Myall river can be seen as flowing through the centre of the school community.

The cross on the left hand side displays the emblem of the sisters of St Joseph who founded this school in 1953 - it was founded on their courage strength and faith. As a school community we strive to emulate their legacy by living in loyalty, gentleness and love.
