Our thriving school library is led by our teacher librarian, Mrs Anne Marie Greene. Through her care and guidance our students become 21st century citizens who can locate, evaluate and use information effectively. With the use of our modern day video conferencing facility, international and domestic data abounds. While working in collaboration with class teachers, our librarian improves student learning outcomes (including higher NAPLAN scores) regardless of students’ socioeconomic status. Our school library goal is to enhance digital and information literacy, resource the curriculum and help students become critical, creative and collaborative thinkers.
We see our library as the centre of knowledge creation and knowledge consumption, with the library program impacting self-directed learning, differentiation and project-based learning. Our library assistant, Ms Brigette Miller, ensures that our library borrowing is entwined with student ability and encourages a love of family reading time.
